“閱兵村”里戰(zhàn)士們正抓緊訓(xùn)練，在國慶當(dāng)日將在世界面前展現(xiàn)中國軍隊的威武之師。而在“閱兵村”外，另一個群體也在備戰(zhàn)“檢閱”，那就是吹響基層社區(qū)國慶安保“沖鋒號”的“紅袖章”。
Restaurant owners, barbers and shopkeepers along Beijing's streets were all given a red armband and everybody is wearing them with pride. The sea of red armbands will frighten the potential attackers, the community official explained.
北京街道沿線的餐館、理發(fā)店，以及商店的老板每人都領(lǐng)到了一個紅袖章，而且都自豪地戴著。社區(qū)官員解釋說，大量的“紅袖章”會將潛在的違法者嚇走。

在parade rehearsal(游行演練)和military parade(國慶閱兵)期間，red armbands可以幫助進行安保工作，并對游客進行疏導(dǎo)。他們成為60th anniversary celebrations(60周年國慶)的volunteer team(志愿者隊伍)，并在白天執(zhí)行patrol responsibilities(巡邏任務(wù))。這種city volunteers program(城市志愿者計劃)是在去年北京奧運會時確立起來的。
