Prosecutors1 nationwide will clamp down on corrupt2 officials this year and step up the hunt for those who have fled abroad, according to the TOP procurator.
最高人民檢察院檢察長表示，今年全國上下的檢察院都將嚴(yán)厲打擊貪官，加大追逃工作。
追逃的英文表達(dá)就是hunt for those who have fled abroad。不只要追逃，還要recover ill-gotten gains（追贓），并進(jìn)一步加大preventing suspects from fleeing the country（防逃）工作。
檢察長稱，那些或許會(huì)逃往海外的duty-related crimes suspect（職務(wù)犯罪嫌疑人）將會(huì)更早地被禁止離境。Duty-related crimes（職務(wù)犯罪）一般表現(xiàn)為offering and taking bribes3 （收納賄賂）和dereliction of duty（玩忽職守）。
依據(jù)公安部的數(shù)據(jù)，目前中國在境外有500多名economic fugitives（經(jīng)濟(jì)逃犯），因?yàn)橹袊秃芏鄧叶紱]簽署extradition treaties（引渡協(xié)議），因此抓捕外逃貪官困難程度非常大，目前抓捕貪官的重點(diǎn)就是阻止貪官離境。這類貪官在離境前都會(huì)通過underground banks（地下錢莊）或非法投資等money laundering（洗錢）活動(dòng)來transfer property（轉(zhuǎn)移資產(chǎn)）。
